At the Leadership Summit last Saturday, January 26, the Promise Project went into its "execute" phase after 2 years of development. Beginning with June 2013, the San Jacinto Council will be operating differently. Service Units, including the Pearland Pearls, will be combined into Communities. In addition, a parallel support structure, called the Region, will manage Programs and activities for large areas. Engage early and stay on top of the changes through the Conversations that Matter and the Promise Project information posted on the Council website. In the meantime, please share the information with other volunteers and troop parents, because there will be lots of opportunity to participate in Girl Scouts beyond the troop level.
